Usual pretty decent breakfast burritos at a relatively inexpensive price, but skimped a little this time on the sausage.

Mama Josie’s breakfast burritos come on a 12” flour tortilla filled with a generous amount of filling that is mostly egg. The service at the Drive Thru was friendly and efficient, but they could learn a thing or two from Chick-Fil-A. My favorite is the Josie’s Special, which has a hint of cheese and just enough chopped onion and bell pepper to give it a great flavor. Except for having no meat, it would equal almost two Chick-Fil-A burritos for about the same price, so I would rate it as a good value. I've also had the chorizo and egg burrito, but except for the eggs having a different color from a little grease, there wasn’t any chorizo that I saw. If you want hot sauce there is an additional charge. The tortillas taste like they're store bought...not homemade. Bottom line is I will probably go back again, but while good, their breakfast burritos are not great.

Rude when you call. The breakfast burritos are good, but they do charge extra for salsa and do not tell you they charge extra for salsa. They charged me twice for my burrito this morning. I called to tell them (they never have before), she told me one of the pending transactions would drop off and then HUNG UP ON ME while I was asking her another question. So rude. I've been buying my burritos here for months now and never had a duplicate charge, why this time I suddenly have one is beyond me, but the blatant rudeness on the phone is unacceptable.

Their burritos have gotten smaller and the price higher sausage egg and cheese is 4.54 The large drink is 2.58! And they charge you extra for hot sauce for the burritos. The lady at the window acts like she is going to be attacked if she actually opens the window to take your order and has to speak to you. I used to get breakfast here every morning and stopped 2 years ago because of what I have listed thought I would give them another try and things haven't changed well the prices are higher and the burritos smaller so that is not good. I will not be going back

Best food I’ve had in Lubbock eggs cooked to perfection. Staff was nice and the menudo is best I’ve had in awhile. All the bad reviews are just soft people

Terrible stale chalupas with very little hamburger meat. 10 bucks is way over priced for that product. I stick with the Aberdeen location if I decide to go back.

Yuck. I told a very nice, young employee name Giselle that I had 30 minutes for lunch. She was wonderful. My burrito was nasty. The place was clean. I will give their tacos a try next. maybe I just got a bad day.

Decent food and prices.

Called in order 6 breakfast burritos. 3 out of 6 were wrong. I noticed when i was home. I called to notify. I was told to bring them All back and they would remake them and hung up on me.why should i take time out of my day for your mistake. Plus what was right wasnt worth the price. I Paid $35 for 6 burritos...thanks for the screw up, will not be back ever!!! .....

Has all 5 star qualities but it is a little pricey. Doesn't stop me from eating some of the best burritos in town though.

Good authentic Mexican food. The green hot sauce is awesome.

Mediocre on their best day. Who charges for salsa? Especially when it's not even that good. If it's house made, you should know that a bottle of Cholula would be better. Could be more generous on the ingredients that aren't egg. I ordered bacon and beans too, you know. Overall, I'd say they are MUCH too proud of their food. Either put more effort into the quality or lower the price.

Love MaMa Josie's food. I alway's order a pork super. It's delish! Crazy how prices have doubled over the years but that's with everything, not just Josie's unfortunately.

Way overpriced... cost $8.00 for a Simple bacon bean & cheese burrito and a drink. Oh and they charge you for hot sauce. Ridiculous. I will not be back.

WORST SERVICE EVER. Cashier was rude. NEVER AGAIN!

The server/ cashier was amazing this morning. This girl was HUSTLING multitasking and time managing very very well. Between answering the phone taking people's orders and rushing food out she was very calm and diligent. She was kind and patient taking people's orders. I'm thoroughly impressed by her alone. My burrito was very good and the salsa was amazing.

2nd restaurant of my bucket challenge, went in at 7 a.m staff was very family oriented which is what I love about a place. Ordered a ham, potatoe, chorizo and cheese burrito and it was one of the best breakfast burritos I've had in a while, salsa was also on point. If I wasn't a poor college student definitely would have tipped more

Great people amazing food

I love Joseph especially their breakfast burritos the restaurant on the other hand has some great enchiladas rice and beans are great their chips and hot sauce they have some great fajitas and just a bunch of other stuff you'll have to go in and try it because they have different stuff on different days and Josie's is definitely the place to go

Amazing food but always a line that's my only complaint and it's totally worth it

I've been hunting for the best breakfast burrito in Lubbock for a while and M.J.K. tops the list. The burritos are on the smaller side but they make up for it in quality and with great salsa.

Some of the best burritos in town. Service can be a little slow, especially going through the drive through, but I always enjoy my food!

If I could give this place a zero star, I would. There food is disgusting. The eggs were runny and raw, which made me throw up. I also found a long black hair in my food, which made me feel even sicker. When I called to complain they vowed to replace my burrito and when going to redeem it, they told me no. A waste of time and money!! Never going back!
